From November 19 to 23, 2015, DHM (Davis, Hibbitts & Midghall, Inc) Research conducted a phone survey for Benton County. They wanted to know what residents in Albany and Corvallis, Oregon thought about bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The survey focused on their opinions and potential use of a bike path along Highway 20 between Albany and Corvallis. | From November 23rd to December 7th, 2015, DHM Research conducted an online survey for residents of Benton and Linn counties in Oregon. The online survey was similar to the phone survey in terms of content. It provided interested residents with the chance to actively participate and express their thoughts and opinions. | DHM Research shared their survey results with the Board of Commissioners in January 2016. The presentation provided a summary of the findings on various aspects such as interest in the bicycle-pedestrian path, support for its construction, potential usage, and insights into the need for the pathway. | The Stakeholders Committee for this project, which consists of local interested community members and parties advise and make recommendations to the County upon engaging with consultant materials and information. | Benton County held an open house on the topic and accepted public comment from local residents. |
