The Public Works Road Department works with Nutrien Ag Solutions to apply a dust control product, Lignin, on County and public roadways. If you live on a County or public roadway and want dust control, download the application below or call 541.766.6821.
Depending on road and weather conditions, Lignin may be applied in one full shot or in two separate half shots. The application is usually done late May through the end of July but depends on the weather. Benton County tries to apply Lignin so there is a minimum curing time of 24 hours before any heavy rain. If it rains within 24 hours, an extra half application may be needed, at the County’s discretion.
